Leora Joy Jones is an always poet, photographer, writer, and a sometimes artist and editor. She is interested in somatic emotions, slow candle-lit walks on the edges of discomfort, and how art spoons pop culture spoons everyday life. She has learned from experience that it’s good practice to pay attention to what you pay attention to.

Leora is co-founder and director of Taipei Poetry Collective (TPC), a mostly anglophone community of poets based in Taipei. TPC hosts regular critique and generative workshops, and occasional public readings and performances.

Her writing can be found in 4A Papers, Yishu Journal of Contemporary Chinese Art, ArtAsiaPacific, Design Anthology, the Newslens International, and Southerly Journal.

Born in the USA, and raised in South Africa, she now lives and works in Taiwan. Leora holds a BFA from the university currently known as Rhodes, Mackanda, and an MA in Critical and Curatorial Studies of Contemporary Art (CCSCA) from the National Taipei University of Education (NTUE), Taipei.
